Whether she’s on stage singing her latest album or hitting the red carpet, Gwen Stefani knows lots about classic elegance. For years the punk rock singer wore a flawless signature red lip—perhaps thanks to her early years as a makeup artist at the Borghese counter in California—and now she’s Revlon’s newest brand ambassador.
“They’re so smart to pick me,” Stefani said to WWD about her new gig. “This campaign…is really where my heart is at. Not to mention my obsession with makeup for my whole life.”
The campaign Stefani speaks of invites women around the world to let go of doubts and make love happen. “In the last couple of years…I’ve had to kind of choose love, choose truth, choose to be positive and work my way back to a place of using my gift and sharing my love with people,” said Stefani.

Indeed, Stefani is using her talents—in fact, her latest breakup (gosh, we’re still bummed about her split with Gavin Rossdale) inspired her latest album, This Is What the Truth Feels Like, that was released in March.
Heartbreak aside, * The Voice* singer is also focused on perfecting her brows with the use of Revlon’s ColorStay Brow Pencil. “It’s so youthful to have a heavier brow, it makes it look so clean and so retro,” says the makeup maven. “If you’re using just powders and things like that you get home and half your eyebrow’s gone and you’re like, ‘Oh well, that’s embarrassing.’”
The announcement for her new role came by way of Instagram earlier this week, and of course it features her badass red lip.
This isn’t the first time the singer dabbed in beauty with a major beauty brand— she was a L’Oréal spokesmodel from 2011 to 2013, designed polishes for OPI in 2014 and created a line of cosmetics for Urban Decay in 2015. She joins the ranks of Ciara, Halle Berry, Olivia Wilde and Alejandra Espinoza, who are also Revlon ambassadors.
What a way to kick off 2017. Congrats, Gwen!
