Move over, smartwatches. This smart brush is about to take over the tech scene. Professional haircare brand Kérastase teamed up with electronics company Withings to create the Hair Coach. It’s like having a private tutor to help you achieve all of your hair goals. It’s made with sensors that can detect your hair’s health and monitor your brushing patterns. The built-in microphone listens while you’re brushing your hair. So, it can help you manage major haircare issues like frizziness, dryness, and even split ends. The smart brush also senses when you’re brushing too hard and recognizes when your hair is wet or dry.

All of the signals and data are automatically transferred to the mobile app, which factors in other elements like humidity and temperature. Then, the app reveals your hair quality score along with custom tips and recommendations. Of course it’s going to cost more than the average hair brush, but Kérastase confirmed that the price won’t go over $200 when it launches online and in select salons mid 2017.
