While I’m over here rubbing Aquaphor on my cheekbones to try and get that ~highlighter glow~, Jennifer Lopez is doing things a bit differently. The singer rocked the perfect amount of highlighter on the People’s Choice Awards red carpet, and her makeup artist—Mary Phillips—took to Instagram to share just how she did it. Her secret: Topping off J.Lo’s makeup look with Armani Prima Glow Moisturizing Balm, which will set you back $110.
Phillips wrote on Instagram that she applied the pricey highlighter with a blush brush, then patted any remaining balm into J.Lo’s skin. Armani writes on their site that the Prima Glow Moisturizing Balm can hydrate skin for 24 hours and “re-plump and hydrate” skin. “After four weeks of using this face moisturizer, fine lines look evened out and overall skin quality is more comfortable, supple and nourished,” the brand claims.
If you can’t shell out for J.Lo’s pricey highlighter—I mean, $110 is more than my grocery budget for the week—the singer did use some more affordable L’Oréal products while getting ready for the People’s Choice Awards. Phillips used the L’Oréal Paris True Match Lumi Cushion Foundation on the singer (which retails for $14.24), L’Oréal Paris Infallible Pro-Contour Kit ($35.99), and L’Oréal True Match Blushes in Tender Rose and Innocent Flush ($29.99 each). Lopez is a spokesperson for the L’Oréal brand, and it’s clear she beautifies with what she sells! Pro tip: Phillips wrote on Instagram that she blended three shades of the L’Oréal foundation to create a realistic and “sexy, healthy” effect on J.Lo’s skin.
