If you can’t handle the heat, get off Taylor Swift’s Instagram.
The singer has finally given fans an extended look at her highly-anticipated music video with Zayn Malik for “I Don’t Want to Live Forever,” and we’re psyched to see darker side of Swift—one we haven’t seen since “Blank Space.” (But can you really call those gorgeous summer dresses dark?) Of course, it’s not totally surprising that the video has ominous and seductive undertones—the song was written for the Fifty Shades Darker soundtrack.
Swift posted the brief but entrancing clip to Instagram Wednesday afternoon, announcing that the full video would be out tomorrow night. In the video montage, the pop star can be seen walking down the red halls of a hotel and sitting on a bed in a silky robe. Meanwhile, Malik emerges from a fancy car in the rain—and then gets angry at some dinnerware.
If you aren’t getting Christian Grey vibes yet, just wait. According to reports from The Sun, the two singers filmed the video at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel, causing £2,500 in damages to a room. (Swift reportedly set curtains on fire during the shoot.)
Swift has previously teased the music video with still images, posting one earlier today and even earlier on Malik’s birthday. The duo completely shocked fans in early December when dropping the song without any warning. Unsurprisingly, it rocketed straight to the top of the charts, something Swift also documented on Instagram. Malik also posted a teaser to social media on Wednesday, sending the internet into a tailspin.
Clearly Swift and Malik want us to be up all night waiting for the full music video to drop—it will hit the internet at 12 a.m. EST on Friday. Fifty Shades Darker is released in theaters on February 10.
Until then, feel free to watch this Taylor Swift clip on repeat.
