Back in May of last year, Khloe Kardashian revealed her love for the $6 Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter on her website. Her makeup artist Joyce Bonelli swept it onto Kardashian’s face for a late-night show appearance, and she became obsessed with the champagne shade called Radiant Lights. “My cheekbones were so sharp they could cut a bitch,” the youngest Kardashian sister wrote in a post. With a glowing review like that, how could you not want to try it out? Well now, the Ulta-exclusive highlighter comes in two fun, new shades to choose from. Makeup Revolution just launched Rose Gold Lights and Matte Lights. We’re guessing you and Khloe Kardashian will soon be fans of these brand-new hues, too.
Let’s start with Rose Gold Lights. In the compact, the highlighter looks like a golden coral blush. Don’t be fooled. It’s definitely a highlighter. When it’s brushed onto cheeks with a fluffy brush, it gives your face a hint of rose gold. Of course, you can use it as a blush, too. With a compact brush, you can pick up more pigment to make the color more intense for the apples of your cheeks.
Matte Lights is just as unexpected. There aren’t many matte highlighters out there, so we are excited for this affordable option. Instead of relying on shimmer to give skin a luminous finish, the matte finish instead gives more of a subtle, lit-from-within glow. The light pearl shade still attract light to the high points to the face—just without an actual pearlescent finish. It’s a great alternative for those who aren’t into the super-intense highlighter look but still love a dewy vibe. You can also set your concealer with it to brighten up your under-eye area.
Both of the new Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Highlighter shades are available now for $6 each on ulta.com.
