Carrying twins while being a human rights lawyer and an international celebrity can’t be the easiest thing in the world, but Amal Clooney is certainly making it look glamorous. On Friday, the expectant mother stepped out in Paris at the 2017 Cesar Film Awards wearing a custom-made Atelier Versace gown that showcased her changing figure in a beautiful way. It’s Clooney’s first red carpet appearance since announcing her pregnancy.
Much like the memorable blue Atelier Versace gown Blake Lively wore while pregnant at the Cannes Film Festival last year, the dress kept Clooney’s shoulders bare with her midsection on display, and featured intricate embellishment (feathers!) along the skirt and through the train. In her classic, old Hollywood way, Clooney completed the look with drop earrings and a matching minaudière, wearing red lipstick and her hair in soft waves.
Here’s a full view of her look.
Earlier this week, we learned that Amal and her husband, actor George Clooney, would be altering their travel schedule now that Amal is expecting. Between Amal’s work as an attorney and George’s humanitarian efforts, the couple frequently travel to unstable parts of the world. George told Paris Match magazine that getting pregnant changed their perspective on these trips, at least for now. The actor also mentioned that the couple would eventually settle down in one of their many residences. “We have the chance to live between three countries: Italy, America and England,” he told the magazine. “But as soon as the children go to school, it’ll be necessary to choose where to settle. In the meantime, we will continue to move according to our respective schedule.”
Amal might have worn the feathers on the red carpet, but George is clearly the one in nesting mode.
