From the pretty-in-pink Valentino gown at the Golden Globes to the sheer Alexander McQueen number at the Screen Actors Guild Awards, Emma Stone has been dominating the red carpet scene throughout the awards season with an array of unforgettable looks. The La La Land star continued her sartorial streak at the Oscars 2017, wearing a golden gown by Givenchy couture.
With the help of her longtime stylist, Petra Flannery, the Best Actress nominee looked radiant in the 1920s-inspired, fringe gown with ombré accents and Swarovski crystals. The swoon-worthy design, one of Riccardo Tisci’s last looks for the French house, recalled the Oscar statuette she is favored to grab tonight. As for the accessories, the 28-year-old paired the eye-catching ensemble with modern and punchy jewels from Tiffany & Co. Bold red lips and her signature fiery hair—coiffed to the side in Old Hollywood waves—accentuated the winning look.
Many of the stars used the red carpet as a platform to express their political views in many ways tonight. Ruth Negga and Karlie Kloss showcased their support for the ACLU by accessorizing their gowns with a blue ribbon. Stone also took the opportunity to show her support for women’s rights by rocking a gold Planned Parenthood pin on her left shoulder. Take a dazzling red carpet ensemble and add in a great cause, and you have a stunning look worthy of the most memorable best dressed list.
