Another day, another GlamGlow launch. Just last week we were praising the skin-care brand for its multi-shade GlowStarter Mega Illuminating Moisturizer, and now, here we are again with its brand-new GlamGlow Glowsetter Makeup Setting Spray. To be completely honest, we can hardly keep up with all of the GlamGlow happenings, but this one, you’ll want to pay attention to because it may just be the best product the brand has come out with yet. Here’s why.
Most obviously, the GlamGlow Glowsetter Makeup Setting Spray is a first for the brand. Despite its full lineup of mud masks, moisturizers (of the matte and dewy variety) and lip-plumping products, never has the Estée Lauder Companies–owned brand dabbled in the world of facial mists—until now. And what makes this one so great is that it doubles as a makeup setting spray and a mid-day skin refresher. Packed with a blend of three antioxidant-packed teas—green, red, and white—to soothe skin and fight off redness, the ultra-fine mist (like so fine it evaporates the second it hits skin) is also packed with caffeine to instantly refresh dull, sleepy, and puffy skin.
But my favorite aspect of the mist? Its subtle sweet-but-citrus-y scent. To me, it smells like a Creamsicle, while others in the Allure office pictured a chocolate orange (remember the treat your grandma gifted you around the holiday season?) after a few spritzes. If you have sensitive skin or fragrance allergies, spray with caution: The scent lingers. But it’s the aroma that sticks around after application—not the formula. Immediately after spritzing on the mist to a full-face of makeup, our testers found that their skin felt far from sticky and were left with a slightly dewy finish. Bottom line, this mist is good.
