Exercising during your period can feel pretty awkward. Have you ever tried stretching into downward dog with a pad on? A nightmare. Not only does it throw a wrench in the flow (pun intended), but it also requires constant adjustments. And tampon leaks can be just as annoying. But hey, a little blood isn’t going to stop us from exercising. And now Thinx, the same company that makes leak-proof undies you can bleed into, is making a dancewear collection. So you can work out on your period without worrying about leaks or your pad showing through your leggings.
The new offerings include a unitard ($85) and a leotard ($60) perfect for those light days. So you can drop it like it’s hot in a dance cardio class without worrying about accidents. The brand even reached out to pro dancers to test it out. And (you guessed it) not one drop of blood in sight.

How is that possible? Well, the Thinx leotards are made of multiple layers of fabric. The top is anti-microbial and quickly absorbs everything. And the second layer is where liquids are locked in. If you’re thinking that sounds like a diaper, think again. The fabric is super thin, and they are made to be reused. Just rinse them in cold water right after you wear them and toss them in the washer with the rest of your clothes, and then hang it to dry. This definitely sounds like a new staple to add to our gym bags.
